Great during 3/4 seasons, but avoid for catering or visits on track weekends. Ordered catering with 48 hours notice, and the team forgot to write the full order in their book. Took almost an hour to make up a pinwheel platter, will defiantly go back to PJs BBQ where the co-owner handles catering orders in the summer and always nails it. Long live the track, long live picnics ... just don't can't count on Putnam during crunch time to execute something time sensitive.
We went in the Putnam Market to buy some really good cheese. They have a separate cheese room with an extremely nice and knowledgeable man named Calvin that works in there. His personality radiated and his knowledge of the different cheeses were exceptional. We sampled different cheeses as he told us about them. We'll be back!!
This is a great place to go in Saratoga Springs, NY. It has such a variety of food not found elsewhere. I am from Alabama, and it gave me an opportunity to see foods eaten in the northern parts of the US.
The selection is fabulous! If I didn't live so far away, I would be a regular visitor here!!!
Very pricey stuff. But thats Saratoga. The food is great. Everything from sandwiches to sides to cheeses as well as specialty grocery items.
I popped in for a quick browse, saw the cheese shoppe...the gentleman who was there, allowed me to try some of the most wonderful cheddar... I ended up getting some.
