Really delicious food. Went for brunch and sat on the back porch lovingly called "The Swamp". The atmosphere was so nice. Loved the Deviled Eggs and Chicken and Waffles. The best fried chicken hands-down in Saratoga!
Got the tenders to go 7.49... Walked out to the car and opened it up. Found 1 tender about 3 inches by 1/4 inch thick. There were about 5 or 6 other little nugs if chicken not worth eating. Took back in asked the manager nicely if they would pay for what I received. She threw it out and asked for a remake. No apology no nothing. In return I got the exact same portion but with undercooked fries. First and last no question asked.. canceling the payment via my card company..
Best Fried Chicken in the World! The Fried Chicken is to die for and so are the collard greens and grits. The Food is perfect, service is amazing, and the atmosphere is the best I have ever seen. It's like I am in a charming and inviting chicken shack in Mississippi. My family is from the south. So it is really hard to compete with Original Fried Chicken and that is what Hattie's is. I am really glad Hattie opened up this restaurant in 1938. I am grateful of how this African american woman opened this restaurant and I thank her for bringing my southern and African american heritage to the north. Please, 100% go here, you won't ever in your life time regret it.
Delicious and cheap and huge portions. I had the oxtail, which was to die for. I wouldn't say the sides were anything special (I had greens and plantains), but everything was good. Service was friendly. Will definitely be back.
Wife had the Fried Chicken and I got the Meatloaf. Off the hook good. Highly recommended this place. Great relaxed atmosphere, give it a look. You will not be disappointed.
