Thank you! See you next year!
This was my 3rd visit to this particular spa & each time I am pleased. I have had 3 deep tissue massages, 1 mineral bath, & reflexology all with different technicians. Most recently I had Mackenzie & she was just great.
disgusting place. really, avoid it at all costs - and check your credit card statement. They are dishonest thieves.
I was even allowed to take a nice hot shower after my treatments.
We had a package that included aromatic sauna, mineral bath, facial, and massage - and it was wonderful. The staff was attentive and pleasant, unhurried and accomplished. The facial and massage were expertly delivered; we had the same aesthetician, but different massage therapists, and were both very pleased. I have a shoulder injury, my sis-in-law's back gives her trouble, our individual therapists took good care of each. The facility is somewhat dated in its decor, but we didn't go there for the decor - we went to be pampered and well taken care of. Which we were. It was clean and tidy. When the receptionist found out the spa day was my birthday present, she gave me a coupon for a discount on the next visit. I'm from out of town, but my sis-in-law will be back soon, and I'll insist on coming up again next time I'm in town. Wonderful day.
They did all things correctly, booking was friendly and easy with the nice young man receptionist, greeted cheerfully, offered water, restroom, ran on time.
The spa is cozy & clean.
I really wish I could go everyday.
They said they were updated rooms, they were not. We spent 500 a night for 4 beds. The sheets did not stay on the bed at all so we all ended up sleeping right on the mattress because of the wrong sized sheets. The shower heads were all covered in lime and there was girls hair stuck to the side of the shower(we were all guys) The lamp was falling off of the wall and there were holes in the wall and unpainted parts where they removed something. For 500 a night they can afford some paint and a bit of cleaner and sheets that fit. They also had the front desk closed on Sunday mornining when everyone was checking out which I thought was weird.
I love the Crystal Spa! and no - I'm not being paid to say this, I am a local. The healing, soothing effects of the mineral water in the baths is literally what Saratoga Springs is named for. They are not fancy by today's demanding standards; it's a retro step back in time. But they are clean. The discoloration in the tub is from the spring water. They usually explain this when you check in. The massages are excellent and the staff is nice. I'm going today for my birthday. But no - don't go if you want the "luxury" experience.
