Let me tell you, if it was late and two days before Christmas with my family in from out of town, I would have canceled the order altogether. I will NEVER EVER order another thing from that restaurant. I urge others to think about what customer service they would want in an establishment. Caputos, I will pay the extra for your consistent delicious food and great service.
Two years ago, this was our favorite place to get pizza and wings. However, over time, there pizza has become hit or miss. The busier they became, the pizza was either not cooked all the way or over cooked! Hardly ever was it how it used to be, good.
I changed my review to 3 stars only because of consistent bad front desk service - they always give a hard time honoring their coupons - don't publish coupons and deals if you don't want to honor it.
My new pizza house, I've been in the area for about 8 months and treaded through every pizza joint in Wilton/Gansevoort...no one can make a good pie. So I ended up on Primos doorstep I've been please the pie is good , I like their wings the lasagna is good. Buffalo chicken salad was really good. The eggplant dinner was to dry stacked 5 high with no sauce layered between eggplant I used ragu at home...that wasn't good.
Hopefully the owner and management can reconcile this, I am definitely not going to argue with the front desk on the lack of their manners and lack of customer service with a smile attitude
Wonderful food, fast delivery. These guys are the genuine article when it comes to Italian food. I was raised on it and the sauce is a real, homemade sauce. We called to compliment it and spoke to one of the owners, Frank, who was very appreciative and sweet. And made the comment any true Italian will recognize from their family's kitchen when we mentioned the portion size: "Did ya get enough??" A+ recommend.
Picked up an order on Super Bowl Sunday to bring into work. Not impressed the pizza was comparable to the taste of frozen pizza. It has been my third visit since they have been open the first time pizza was excellent, the second visit was not good enough for me to go back, and the third was ordered by someone from work - this pizza was worse than the second time I ate it. The boneless chicken wings, well I don't know how these are sold as wings or could be called wings.
Overall the food is good....its hard running a business and trying to count on places to get good food, but by far your better then the rest of the places in a 5 mile radius!
We then started to try their dinners on the nights that we didn't have time to cook or just wanted to be lazy, they had great meals! The meals were delicious and a huge portion for the price. However, my most recent experience, I had my family over and on their website there was an option under the coupon section for 2 eggplant Parmesan dinners for $21.99. When I called to order this, the woman explained that this was on an older menu and is no longer available. I proceeded to tell her that this was not actually on a menu, but that it was on their website and I was looking at it as I was speaking to her. I heard her tell another woman in the background my response to which the woman yelled "she's wrong, that is no longer available" they said the best they could do was discount it by $2. I personally felt that it was rather rude to tell the customer that I was wrong when I was clearly looking at their website and she decided to get the owner. Now, I thought the owner was going to be apologetic and I thought for sure someone would have looked at their website to verify that I was either wrong or right but no. The owner just said "Hello" in a very rude tone without even introducing himself. I explained the situation and he was still very rude and condescending and stated that it is an old menu (again with the old menu line!) and that they no longer offer that. Then when I said well I'm sorry but it is on your website. He responded by saying (in a very demeaning tone!) "ya know what, I'll just give you the price this one time (literally as if he was doing me a favor!!!) and that's it. Hold on. And then hands the phone back to the woman and says "take her order!"
