I rated this restaurant 3 stars due to experiencing probably the worst service I've ever received. The food (I ordered lasagna), was good but not delicious.
A very nice discovery. Great food, great service. Many choices. The chicken piccata was excellent. I will be back again.
We were excited to eat here with the good reviews and just getting to Saratoga after a 4hr car ride for our anniversary. 25min wait turned in 45min. Someone who didn't make reservations new someone on the staff and we're called upon first before 3 or 4 groups of people. They brought the wrong meal for our little one, my wife got a calzone with had practically no dough and she pretty much are cheese with way too many pepperoni's. I got lasagna which was decent but nothing special.
What caused the experience to be below standard was a young man with brown hair carrying on social hour with the table next to us while we waited for everything to come to the table. We asked for bread and he tossed the basket onto the table. We waited almost 45 minutes for our appetizer. When we asked him if he could check on it, he didn't reply, went into the kitchen and never returned to our table. However he did return about six times to the table next to us to chat for at least five minutes per time.
I was pleasantly surprised, best Italian I've had. The desserts also are tasty, but best thing there is there pasta with mushrooms and scallops. Great wine list too. Can get expensive fast though.
All I can say is Yuummmmy! Probably, some of the best Italian food I've ever had. You won't go hungry or thirsty. Generous pour on the wine. The service was good. We had a bit of a wait, even though we made reservations, and it was really crowded, but the food was well worth the wait. Would definitely go back!
If the food had not been good, I would've given two stars just based on the service alone. Sadly, a place I had heard good things about and took my family yo celebrate an occasion, is a place I won't return to and won't recommend to others. Hopefully management will help find this young man a new job.
