The office waiting time was consistently over 45 minutes when we did go in to the office.
The office personnel were gruff, condescending and cruel whenever I had to call them.
My family's experiences with Dr. Delgiacco and his staff were among the worst experiences we have ever had to endure.. Faced with a terminal illness in our family, they were unresponsive, unhelpful and unkind. We could not even get their cooperation to meet hospice requests or medicare requirements. Sadly Dr. Delgiacco never once returned my call even to find out whether my parent had died.
I have been seeing this group for 11 YEARS due to pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Delgiaco came aboard layer after my first doctor left the practice. However, I have always found ALL the doctors there to be the very best with their professionalism, their caring AND their compassion always. Yes, you wait sometimes BUT, if you knew the number of people that are treated DAILY by these doctors, YOU might just understand. Even with that, I am NEVER rushed in and out. Dr. Delgiaco takes the time to go over everything with me and he shows Great compassion even though he himself is suffering from a serious illness himself. The office staff WAS a little short with me on one phone call but that was rectified and the girls in the office are ALL now friendly and compassionate on every visit and phone call. I moved to Florida permanently 3 years ago and feel so strongly about these doctors that I have not and will not change to doctors down here. I drive 1597 miles one way (3,194 miles round trip) every 6 months to see Dr. Delgiaco. I feel it is totally worth my time and effort.
But, mostly, I was deeply saddened by this complete lack of compassion from people in the field.
