Although our first experience was dissapointing with a mis-diagnosis from the P.A., and a lack of empathy overall, we were pleasantly surprised and content with the future care that the dermatoligist showed us. He answered our questions, demonstrated professional care and knowledge. Indeed, he knows what he's talking about. We are taking away 1 star because of our first experience with the P.A. However, again, I'd like to emphasize the way that the Dermatologist, Dr. Rappaport redeemed the first visit. We are leaving satisfied.
They wont call you back about an ongoing conversation. You have to call them and keep calling until they have the time tk respond. They won't leave you a message either. The doctor has an attitude issue if you even remotely question his methods.
Dr. Rappaport is by far the best dermatologist around here. I started going to him when I first moved up here in 2004. I had a scar right smack in the middle of my forehead that forced me to wear bangs (which I detested!) I had tried numerous doctors downstate over the course of a few years and no one was able to fix my scar. A few months into seeing Dr. Rappaport and he had completely fixed my scar to the point where it was no longer noticeable even by me! I was able to stop hiding behind my hair and feel like myself again. He's also treated me for acne and within 2 weeks of starting treatment my acne was under control. If I have a cystic acne breakout his office gets me in same day for prompt treatment and they are always so friendly and accommodating and have never said they were to busy to fit me in - they always want to help. His staff is unlike any other. I love seeing the doctor as he is fun to be around and has a great personality and is so patient and kind. I am thankful I found him and would never want anyone else handling my skin care needs. I am forever grateful for all he has done for me
I've been going to Dr. Rappaport for 2 yrs. His office and staff are very pleasant and professional, as is Dr. Rappaport. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Rappaport gives the impression that he is way too important to acknowledge you or to answer your questions. During the fourth visit for my son's wart, I asked if there was a stronger treatment (since it has grown back every time). Dr. Rappaport said nothing, stood up, turned on his heels, and walked out. As he opened the door, he sarcastically mentioned something about over the counter medicine.
Dr. Rappaport needs a few lessons from Dr. Gainor & Dr. D'Agostino. Two top notch doctors!
